Acrylic Latex Backing Acrylic Latex Backing is an acrylic coating applied to the backside of a fabric making it suitable for wallcovering installation. Although paperbacking is the most common and generally preferred process of preparing fabrics for wallcovering, Acrylic Latex Backing may be used as a lower cost alternative.
