technical
considerations
Care and Use
• Vinylized fabrics
can be wiped clean with
a mild detergent and water
• Upholstering with Vinylized fabrics works best
with hard cushions
• Ensure proper ventilation as with any upholstery application
• Vinylized fabrics are not weatherproof and should
not be used outdoors or exposed to prolonged
high humidity
• Fabric colors are subject to minor variations
Testing
Vinylized cotton fabric passed the
Wyzenbeek Abrasion test (ASTM D-4157) for wearability.
The results were no noticeable wear after 15,000 double
rubs. Other independent tests showed that after 200,000
double rubs, there was no noticeable wear.
Vinylized fabrics pass the “UFAC Fabric Classification Test method 1990” and “NFPA
260-1989” (previously “NFPA 260”) (i.e. cigarette
ignition tests).
Material requirements
Fabrics up to 62” wide can be processed. Vinyl film width is 60”.
The minimum acceptable fabric width is 36”. When fabric is over 62” wide,
we must slit the material in order to
accommodate the Vinylizing process; additional charges apply.
